GAPT AWARDS

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Self-nominations are accepted till the 8th of December 2021. Once the self-nomination period has ended, the committee will review the nominations, and the recipients will be announced on the 16th of December 2021.
  2. Filing for self-nomination does not guarantee selection for the award, and each submitted nomination will be carefully scrutinized by the committee/panel based on various factors for deciding the winners.
  3. The decision of the committee/panel shall be considered final and no further discussion/consideration or dispute shall be entertained. GAPT reserves the right to not disclose the deciding factors.

The Awards

  1. GAPT Fellowship Award:
    i. Should have a minimum of 20 years of professional experience.
    ii. A complete narrative focusing on experience and expertise in the field of physiotherapy.
    iii. Significant contribution to the development and operations of GAPT.
  2. Best Member award:
    i. A GAPT member with proactive participation and planning towards the formation and development of GAPT.
  3. Best female scientist:
    i. Female MPT with a minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant fields.
    ii. Publications in National or International Journals; or Contribution in any relevant project for minimum 3 Years funded by a recognized national or international research organization; or any approved innovation successfully contributing to the betterment of healthcare delivery, physiotherapy at the large or patient population at large.
  4. Professional contributor award:
    i. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
    ii. Relevant contribution towards new developments/innovations or betterment in the field of Physiotherapy. (Note – A complete narrative of the mentioned contributions should be submitted along with the candidature/self-nomination).
  5. Best Academician Award:
    i. Minimum 5 years of relevant academic (teaching) experience
    ii. Significant contribution in projects, and strategic planning and implementation for the development and betterment of academics and students in the field of physiotherapy, and the society at large. (Note – A complete narrative of the mentioned contributions should be submitted along with the candidature/self-nomination).
  6. Best clinician award:
    i. Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.
    ii. Significant contribution in clinical studies, projects, innovative methodology and strategic development, and betterment of clinical practice in the field of physiotherapy, and the patient population at large. (Note – A complete narrative of the mentioned contributions and achievements should be submitted along with the candidature/self-nomination).
  7. Outstanding Contributor award:
    i. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional Experience
    ii. Significant contribution towards overall development and betterment in the field of physiotherapy (Note – A complete narrative of the mentioned contributions and achievements should be submitted along with the candidature/self-nomination.)
  8. Social excellence award:
    i. A professional who has contributed actively to the welfare of society at large.
  9. Humanitarian excellence award:
    i. A professional who has whole-heartedly worked towards the welfare of humanity and who has high moral and humanitarian values
    ii. Proven community welfare did for the society at large.
  10. PhysioRatan award:
    i. Minimum 15 years of relevant clinical/academic experience.
    ii. Contribution towards the development of the profession.
  11. Best Student award:
    i. A student with great performance in academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, participation in workshops to enhance knowledge, and other social and cultural events.
  12. Student of the year award:
    i. Students from the third and final year of graduation, or interns are eligible for this award.
    ii. Should have represented the college at various educational, cultural, or social events for the rolling year/academic session.
    iii. Should have presented poster/paper in any national or international conference, or published article in the college magazine, national/international journal, or any relevant national/international magazine in the rolling year/academic session.
